Privacy Policy
Tasskel Phone is a product of Tasskel LLC. Revision date: October 6, 2026.
1. What this Privacy Policy covers
Tasskel LLC (“Tasskel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we treat Personal Data that we gather when you access or use Tasskel Phone, the business phone, texting, and AI receptionist service operated by Tasskel LLC (the “Services”). “Personal Data” means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual, and also includes information referred to as “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” under applicable data privacy laws, rules, or regulations. This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of companies we don’t own or control or people we don’t manage.
By using or accessing the Services in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you consent that we will collect, use, and share your information as described here. Your use of the Services is at all times subject to our Terms of Service, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms of Service.
If you have a disability, you may request this Privacy Policy in an alternative format by contacting us through the Talk to Sales page on this site.
2. Categories of Personal Data we collect
The following details the categories of Personal Data that we collect and have collected over the past 12 months, along with the categories of third parties with whom we share that data.
- Profile or Contact Data — first and last name, email address, phone number, and unique identifiers such as passwords. Shared with service providers.
- Contacts and Call Notes — contacts you save (and contacts created automatically from callers who say their name), and the notes and outcome tags you add to calls. Shared with service providers that host our database.
- Communications Data — calls to and from your Tasskel Phone numbers, including caller and recipient numbers, times, duration and outcome, and messages callers leave with Tasskel Phone AI. Shared with our telecommunications carrier and other service providers.
- Transcripts and Voicemails — the text of conversations with Tasskel Phone AI (callers’ speech is converted to text by our telecommunications carrier’s speech recognition), AI-written call summaries, and voicemail recordings with their transcripts. Ordinary calls are not recorded. Shared with service providers, including our telecommunications carrier and the AI provider that powers Tasskel Phone AI.
- Usage Data — data about your usage of the Services, such as the number of outgoing calls, missed calls, call minutes, and the minutes of each call type. Shared with service providers.
- Payment Data — payment card type and the last 4 digits of the payment card. Full card numbers are collected and processed through Tasskel Pay, Tasskel LLC’s payment service, and are not stored by Tasskel. Tasskel Pay uses Network Merchants, Inc. (“NMI”) as its back-end payment gateway. Shared with service providers, specifically NMI.
- Device/IP Data — IP address and the type of device, operating system, or browser used to access the Services, as recorded in standard server and security logs. Shared with service providers.
- Geolocation Data — the service address state you give at checkout for tax purposes, and approximate location derived from IP address in security logs. Shared with service providers.
- Social Network Data — email address and name, where you sign in to the Services through a third-party service such as Google. Shared with service providers.
- Professional or Employment-Related Data — business name, job title, and size of business, where you choose to provide it. Shared with service providers.
- Other Identifying Information that You Voluntarily Choose to Provide — identifying information in free-form text you provide on the Services, including the business instructions you give Tasskel Phone AI, or in messages you send us. Shared with service providers and parties you authorize.
3. Categories of sources of Personal Data
We collect Personal Data about you from the following categories of sources:
- You — when you provide such information directly to us; when you create an account or use our interactive tools and Services; when you voluntarily provide information in free-form text boxes through the Services or in responses to surveys or questionnaires; and when you send us an email or otherwise contact us.
- Automatic collection — when you use the Services, our hosting and security systems record basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, and your browser stores the sign-in and preference data described in the “Cookies and Local Storage” section below. The installable web app also keeps a copy of site files on your device so it can open offline.
- Service providers — our telecommunications carrier provides call and message details (such as caller and recipient numbers, timestamps, and speech converted to text during AI-answered calls), and our payment processor provides payment confirmation details.
- Social networks — if you sign in to the Services through a third-party site or service, some content and/or information in those accounts may be transmitted into your account with us.
4. Our commercial or business purposes for collecting Personal Data
We collect and use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- Providing, customizing, and improving the Services — creating and managing your account or other user profiles; processing orders or other transactions and billing; providing you with the products, services, or information you request; meeting or fulfilling the reason you provided the information to us; providing support and assistance for the Services; improving the Services, including testing, research, internal analytics, and product development; personalizing the Services, website content, and communications based on your preferences; providing fraud protection, security, and debugging; and carrying out other business purposes stated when collecting your Personal Data or as otherwise set forth in applicable data privacy laws.
- Marketing the Services — telling you about Tasskel Phone features, plans, and updates. We do not use your Personal Data for third-party or interest-based advertising.
- Corresponding with you — responding to correspondence that we receive from you, contacting you when necessary or requested, and sending you information about Tasskel or the Services; and sending emails and other communications according to your preferences or that display content that we think will interest you.
- Meeting legal requirements and enforcing legal terms — fulfilling our legal obligations under applicable law, regulation, court order, or other legal process, such as preventing, detecting, and investigating security incidents and potentially illegal or prohibited activities; protecting the rights, property, or safety of you, Tasskel, or another party; enforcing any agreements with you; responding to claims that any posting or other content violates third-party rights; and resolving disputes.
6. Legal obligations
We may share any Personal Data that we collect with third parties in conjunction with any of the activities set forth under “Meeting legal requirements and enforcing legal terms” in the “Our commercial or business purposes for collecting Personal Data” section above.
7. Business transfers
All of your Personal Data that we collect may be transferred to a third party if we undergo a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or other transaction in which that third party assumes control of our business (in whole or in part). Should one of these events occur, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you before your information becomes subject to different privacy and security policies and practices.
8. Data that is not Personal Data
We may create aggregated, de-identified data from the Personal Data we collect, such as total call and message counts, by removing information that identifies a particular user. We use such data to operate and improve the Services and will not share it in a manner that could identify you.
10. Advertising
We do not show third-party advertisements in the Services and do not use your Personal Data for interest-based advertising.
11. Data security and retention
We seek to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure using appropriate physical, technical, organizational, and administrative security measures based on the type of Personal Data and how we are processing that data. You should also help protect your data by appropriately selecting and protecting your password and/or other sign-on mechanism; limiting access to your computer or device and browser; and signing off after you have finished accessing your account. Although we work to protect the security of your account and other data that we hold in our records, please be aware that no method of transmitting data over the internet or storing data is completely secure.
We retain Personal Data about you for as long as you have an open account with us or as otherwise necessary to provide you with our Services. In some cases we retain Personal Data for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule, or regulation.
Transcripts, summaries and voicemails — kept for as long as your account is open, unless you choose a shorter time in Settings (30 or 90 days), after which our daily job deletes older conversation text, summaries, voicemail recordings and voicemail transcripts; the basic call record (who, when, how long) stays in your history. You can delete any voicemail yourself in the app. Voicemail recordings are stored privately and played only to you through short-lived links; the carrier’s copy of each recording is deleted after we store and transcribe ours.
Closed accounts — when an account is deleted, its numbers are held for 60 days in case the customer returns, then released. Account details are kept in a restricted archive for that period so the account can be restored; billing records are kept as described below.
Calls and messages — call and message details and message text are also held by our telecommunications carrier, Twilio, under its own retention practices, and may remain in its records until deleted from the carrier account. Deleting call content in the app does not, by itself, erase the carrier’s call records. On request, or when your account is closed, we will ask the carrier to delete records for your numbers where its systems allow it. Ordinary calls are not recorded.
AI processing — call text is sent to our AI model provider (through Lovable’s AI service) to generate replies, summaries and voicemail transcripts, and is used only for that purpose. Our AI and hosting providers may keep short-term technical logs for security and abuse prevention under their own policies.
Outside services we use — payment processing: Tasskel Pay with Network Merchants (NMI) as gateway; phone calls, speech recognition and voicemail recording: Twilio; AI replies, summaries and voicemail transcription: AI models provided through Lovable’s AI service; hosting, database, sign-in and email delivery: Lovable Cloud; Google, only if you choose Google sign-in. Fonts are served from our own site, not a font service.
Payment records — Tasskel Pay and its back-end gateway, NMI, keep transaction records as required by card-network and financial regulations, even after your account is closed.
Demo line — if you call our public demo number, we keep your phone number and a text transcript of the demo conversation for 30 days so our team can review demo quality and prevent abuse; only Tasskel staff can see them. The demo assistant never asks for payment details, does not record voicemail, and does not send texts or emails. Demo callers' numbers are never added to a marketing or mailing list.
Onboarding emails — new customers may receive a short series of setup tips. Each one has an unsubscribe link. Our email provider applies an unsubscribe to all of our emails to that address (sign-in and password emails still work), so after unsubscribing you'll find receipts, billing notices and trial dates in the Billing page of the app instead of your inbox.
12. Personal Data of children
We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data about children under 16 years of age; if you are a child under the age of 16, please do not attempt to register for or otherwise use the Services or send us any Personal Data. If we learn we have collected Personal Data from a child under 16 years of age, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 16 years of age may have provided Personal Data to us, please contact us through the Talk to Sales page on this site.
13. State law privacy rights
California resident rights — Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83–1798.84, California residents are entitled to contact us to prevent disclosure of Personal Data to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes. In addition, if you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act to know what Personal Data we collect about you, request a copy of it, request deletion, and opt out of any sale or sharing of your Personal Data. You can submit such a request by contacting us through the Talk to Sales page on this site. We do not sell your Personal Data as “sale” is defined in California law, and we do not sell the Personal Data of consumers we know are under 16 years of age.
Nevada resident rights — If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt out of the sale of certain Personal Data to third parties. You can exercise this right by contacting us through the Talk to Sales page on this site with a “Nevada Do Not Sell Request” and providing us with your name and the email address associated with your account. Please note that we do not currently sell your Personal Data as sales are defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A.
14. European Union and United Kingdom data subject rights
If you are a resident of the European Union (“EU”), the United Kingdom (“UK”), Liechtenstein, Norway, or Iceland, you may have additional rights under the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”) with respect to your Personal Data. For this section, we use the terms “Personal Data” and “processing” as they are defined in the GDPR, but “Personal Data” generally means information that can be used to individually identify a person, and “processing” generally covers actions that can be performed in connection with data such as collection, use, storage, and disclosure. Tasskel will be the controller of your Personal Data processed in connection with the Services. If there are any conflicts between this section and any other provision of this Privacy Policy, the policy or portion that is more protective of Personal Data shall control to the extent of such conflict.
Note that we may also process Personal Data of our customers’ end users or employees in connection with our provision of certain services to customers, in which case we are the processor of Personal Data. If we are the processor of your Personal Data (i.e., not the controller), please contact the controller party in the first instance to address your rights with respect to such data.
15. Personal Data use and processing grounds
We will only process your Personal Data if we have a lawful basis for doing so. Lawful bases for processing include consent, contractual necessity, and our “legitimate interests” or the legitimate interest of others, as further described below.
- Contractual necessity — we process Profile or Contact Data, Communications Data, Recordings and Transcripts, and Payment Data as a matter of “contractual necessity,” meaning that we need to process the data to perform under our Terms of Service with you, which enables us to provide you with the Services. When we process data due to contractual necessity, failure to provide such Personal Data will result in your inability to use some or all portions of the Services that require such data.
- Legitimate interest — we process Profile or Contact Data, Payment Data, Device/IP Data, Web Analytics, Social Network Data, Professional or Employment-Related Data, Geolocation Data, and other identifying information that you voluntarily choose to provide when we believe it furthers the legitimate interest of us or third parties. Examples of these legitimate interests include providing, customizing, and improving the Services; marketing the Services; corresponding with you; meeting legal requirements and enforcing legal terms; and completing corporate transactions. We may also de-identify or anonymize Personal Data to further our legitimate interests.
- Consent — in some cases, we process Personal Data based on the consent you expressly grant to us at the time we collect such data. When we process Personal Data based on your consent, it will be expressly indicated to you at the point and time of collection.
- Other processing grounds — from time to time we may also need to process Personal Data to comply with a legal obligation, if it is necessary to protect the vital interests of you or other data subjects, or if it is necessary for a task carried out in the public interest.
16. Your rights to your Personal Data
You have certain rights with respect to your Personal Data, including those set forth below. For more information about these rights, or to submit a request, please contact us through the Talk to Sales page on this site. Please note that in some circumstances, we may not be able to fully comply with your request, such as if it is frivolous or extremely impractical, if it jeopardizes the rights of others, or if it is not required by law, but in those circumstances, we will still respond to notify you of such a decision. In some cases, we may also need you to provide us with additional information, which may include Personal Data, if necessary to verify your identity and the nature of your request.
- Access — you can request more information about the Personal Data we hold about you and request a copy of such Personal Data. You can also access certain of your Personal Data by logging on to your account.
- Rectification — if you believe that any Personal Data we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that we correct or supplement such data.
- Erasure — you can request that we erase some or all of your Personal Data from our systems.
- Withdrawal of consent — if we are processing your Personal Data based on your consent (as indicated at the time of collection of such data), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note, however, that if you exercise this right, you may have to then provide express consent on a case-by-case basis for the use or disclosure of certain of your Personal Data, if such use or disclosure is necessary to enable you to utilize some or all of our Services.
- Portability — you can ask for a copy of your Personal Data in a machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit the data to another controller where technically feasible.
- Objection — you can contact us to let us know that you object to the further use or disclosure of your Personal Data for certain purposes, such as for direct marketing purposes.
- Restriction of processing — you can ask us to restrict further processing of your Personal Data.
- Right to file complaint — if you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint about our practices with respect to your Personal Data with the supervisory authority of your country or EU Member State.
17. Transfers of Personal Data
The Services are hosted and operated in the United States (“U.S.”) through Tasskel and its service providers, and if you do not reside in the U.S., laws in the U.S. may differ from the laws where you reside. By using the Services, you acknowledge that any Personal Data about you, regardless of whether provided by you or obtained from a third party, is being provided to Tasskel in the U.S. and will be hosted on U.S. servers, and you acknowledge that Tasskel may transfer, store, and process your information to and in the U.S., and possibly other countries.
18. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We’re constantly trying to improve our Services, so we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time, but we will alert you to any such changes by placing a notice on this website, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive legal notice emails from us (or you haven’t provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the Services after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes. Use of information we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected.
19. Contact information
If you have any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, the ways in which we collect and use your Personal Data, or your choices and rights regarding such collection and use, please contact Tasskel LLC through the Talk to Sales page on this site.
